Colorado Float Fishing

Miles of river, one unforgettable drift

If you’re looking for big water, wide-open scenery, and the chance to cover miles of river in a single day, a guided float trip is tough to beat. Fishing from a raft gives you access to stretches of river you can’t reach on foot and lets you drift into runs, riffles, and pools that trout call home.

At Winter Park Flyfisher, our float trips explore some of Colorado’s most productive waters, including the Colorado River and other prime stretches close to home. Whether you’re chasing wild browns or hoping to hook into a hefty rainbow, floating allows you to fish more water, see more country, and spend less time hiking and more time casting.

Float trips are a favorite of seasoned anglers who want to maximize their time on the water, but they’re also perfect for beginners — especially when paired up with one of our experienced guides who can walk you through every step. They’re also an awesome way to share the river with a buddy, a parent and child, or anyone who wants to experience the magic of a day drifting through trout country together.
