Public Water Wade Trips

Explore Colorado's Waters One Step at a Time

Step into the river and experience fly fishing the way it was meant to be—up close, personal, and fully immersed in the beauty of the Fraser Valley. At Winter Park Flyfisher, our guided wade trips give anglers of every skill level the chance to slow down, connect with the water, and chase wild trout on foot.

You’ll explore legendary public waters like the Colorado River and the Fraser River, where riffles, runs, and pools hold rainbow and brown trout waiting for a well-placed cast. Wade fishing is the perfect introduction for beginners and a favorite for seasoned anglers looking to sharpen their casting and presentation. With one of our knowledgeable guides at your side, you’ll learn local techniques, how to read the water, and how to find those sneaky pockets of trout you’d never notice from a drift boat.

And if you’re looking for something extra special, we can also arrange access to private water for a more secluded and exclusive experience. Space is limited, so be sure to contact us to learn more about private water opportunities.

To reserve your spot, we ask for a 50% deposit.
